Savings Account

Membership at Members First Credit Union begins by opening a share savings account. With membership, you become eligible for a full range of valuable financial products and services. Although you can deposit as much as you would like into your savings account, new members can open an account with a minimum deposit of just $25.00.

Eligibility Requirements

Potential members must complete an application for membership. Proper identification is required and membership eligibility is verified.

To qualify for membership, you must:

Live in Box Elder or Cache County;
Have an immediate family member that has an account with Members First Credit Union;
Work at one of our Select Employee Groups (SEG)

Christmas Club

A Christmas Club account is a savings account specifically designed as a place for you to save money during the year to use during the holiday season. Funds are available October 1st – December 31st and will accrue a competitive dividend year-round. Deposit on your own or setup a payroll deposit.

Budget Accounts

Budget accounts are flexible options to manage your savings. Each can be opened for a minimum deposit of $5.00 and used for any of your special savings needs such as a new car, college, vacations, or taxes. Budget Accounts are conveniently located within your Members First account and are easily accessible online, over the phone, or at one of our branch locations.

High Yield

The High Yield account is a convenient way to get a higher return on your money without restricting it with a term certificate. It requires a minimum deposit of $1,000.00 and is accessible to you at any time online, by phone, or at one of our convenient branch locations.

Share Certificates

A Share Certificate offers you peace of mind with a guaranteed interest rate and the flexibility to choose a term that fits your investment needs. Members First Credit Union offers a variety of term certificate options. You can even open a Share Certificate online.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

It’s never too early to begin saving with a Members First Credit Union IRA. With easy set up, minimal maintenance, low risk, and compounding dividends, choosing one of our IRA options can help you reach your retirement goals.

Savings Cents

Savings Cents rounds up each checking account purchase* to the next whole dollar amount. At the end of the day, the “change” from all your purchases is directly transferred from your checking account to a designated sub savings account. The special Savings Cents account earns a higher interest rate than a regular savings account.

*Eligible transactions include: debit card purchases, ACH’s, drafts, and bill payments.
